The memory is still very fresh in my mind, hundreds of toys stacked on, around and under the Air Force wrapped boat. We all recall the men who have and are serving our country in the various armed forces as they walked onto the platform where the flags of their respective branches of service were displayed. The video and music played and at that moment, no matter what else were going on in the world, we were all very proud to be Americans. We were proud of these men and women. We were proud to be a part of this demonstration of support. A small thing perhaps-bringing toys and fishing a bass tournament-but at that moment in time we were a part of something much bigger, much more important. You brought 452 toys to give to kids whose moms and dads are deployed overseas in defense of everything we believe in.
We can do it again – and more!
