Earlier in the week there were reports that it would be raining on Saturday, but it turned out to be a great day, especially for Smith. James was fishing by himself as his partner had other family obligations, but that didn’t seem to bother him as he brought a great bag to the scales hitting 10.09 lbs including Big Fish of 5.69. James told us he caught the big fish on a spinner bait after throwing a swim bait that didn’t produce. His winnings were $528.00
In second place was the team of Garrett Maddex and Micha Huson with a total weight of 7.40 lbs.. Drop-shotting Morning Dawn worms was the method of choice for this team and it netted them $255.00.
Rounding out the top three was Adam French and Robert Wiggins with 7.26 lbs. The rest of the results are posted on the web site.
The winners of our best finish for a family was Gary Watts and his son Gregory Olmos. They received two nice jig packs donated by Lefty Lures.
It was a goods bite overall and everyone brought in a limit of five nice fish.
NEXT EVENT: We are off to Berryessa on March 14th. We will be going out of Markley’s Cove. Please join us. Every time you register and fish with CBAF you support our Kids Bass Camp.
