CBAF Leadership team supports the 10th Annual C.O. Pro/Teen Classic

John Harper, Ted Tencati, Marvin Inman, Paul Baker and Dave Tencati were all on board to support the 10th Annual C.O. Pro/Teen Classic at the Delta. Long Nguyen and Marvin Inman also helped out by providing their photography skills.

98 teams blasted off from Russo’s Marina at sunrise on Sunday morning with great expectations. The pre-fish had given everyone good reason to expect quality fishing with nice limits taken under the overcast skies and windy conditions prior to the event. Tournament day was a little different however, as the skies had cleared. And although there was still some wind, the bite changed considerably.

“We only had one keeper by 10:30 a.m.,” said Paul Baker, “and I was getting concerned that I wasn’t going to be able to put my teen, Eric, on fish.” After changing locations a couple of times Paul and Eric were able to put three more fish in the live well, including a 5.3 lb. caught on a 5″ Senko. Dave Tencati had similar results with his young partner, Robbie Cates. Robbie has some experience on the Delta as a member of the Delta Teen Bass Club. “He never quit all day” Dave said. “Even though it was tough, he had a great attitude about what was happening.” We’re sure Robbie learned a lot from his time on the water with Dave.

Regardless of the fishing conditions, numbers of fish or weights, it was clear at the end of the day by the smiles and excitement of their young partners that everyone had a great time.

Our thanks to Cooch, Tony and the entire Pro/Teen Classic team for a great event and a good day on the water.
